(2024) Blessed Sacrament Huguenot School completed a 12,896 SF expansion at their current location to include a new student center with a gymnasium and classrooms
(2024) RM Aesthetics expanded into a new, renovated space located at 3387 Anderson Hwy
(2024) Island Glow relocated from their old space down the street to a new, larger, renovated space located at 3863 Old Buckingham Rd in the Village of Powhatan
(2024) Fast Feet Sports Academy expanded into a new, state-of-the-art 13,000 SF building in the South Creek Industrial Park
(2024) Smok-N-Pigz acquired the commercial space next door to expand and open their new business venture, "The Butcher Shop"

(2023) River City Woodfire Pizza established a brick-and-mortar location in Powhatan County off of Genito Rd
(2023) Starbucks opened a location in Powhatan County off of Route 60, across from the South Creek Shopping Center and Industrial Park
(2023) Whistle Express Carwash opened a location off of Route 60
(2023) The Mercantile at Three Crosses, a boutique home goods store owned by the owners of Three Crosses Distilling, opened adjacent to the distillery in the Village of Powhatan
(2023) Pleasants Hardware opened a location in the South Creek Shopping Center
(2023) Flat Rock Pediatrics opened an office in the Oakbridge Industrial Park area of the county
(2023) Maxey's Store, a restaurant and niche grocery store, opened in the Village of Powhatan
(2023) Posh Med Spa and Wellness Center opened adjacent to Maxey's Store in the Village of Powhatan
(2023) Josie's Coffee Boutique, a coffee shop and unique boutique, opened at Independence Golf Club in the Winterfield area of the county
(2023) Apple Tree Preschool opened in western Powhatan, off of Route 60, to provide an additional childcare option for those living here
(2023) Fast Lane Auto relocated to Powhatan County, off of Route 60, near the Cumberland border
